Our certificate course is unique in that we have based it on three equally important areas which we know will ensure that our graduates will be ready and able to start their own businesses.
Our Courses
1) Practical Experience: Students will practice on horses with real muscle problems; not just “school horses” who have been massaged constantly. Throughout the course students will be exposed to horses with a variety of personalities, and muscle problems, just as they will encounter in their business.
2) Business skills: A practical sales technique, “Relationship Selling” will be taught, and will give you the confidence needed when speaking to prospective clients. A variety of marketing methods will be taught, because no matter how good you are at equine massage, if you can’t market and sell your skills you will be an equine massage therapist in training only. Other skills necessary for starting and maintaining a successful business will also be taught.
3) Equine Massage Theory: The theory is the science behind the art of the massage. It is important to know how muscles work as well as factors that can affect their proper functioning.
All the courses will approach the material from a perspective which will make learning enjoyable as well as informative. It is our task to cause the students to be engaged actively in the learning experience. It is a fact that people who are actively engaged in the learning process are able to learn more, and find learning more enjoyable.
No boring lectures allowed!!
