Certificate Course
Our certification course is unique; based on three equally important areas which ensure that our graduates are ready to start their own successful equine massage therapy businesses.
1) Practical Experience: Students
practice on horses with real muscle problems; not just “school horses”
who have been massaged constantly. Throughout the course students will be exposed to horses with a variety of personalities,
and muscle problems, just as they will encounter in their business.
2) Business skills: A practical sales technique, “Relationship Selling” is taught, and it will give you the confidence needed when speaking to prospective clients. A variety of marketing methods are also taught, because no matter how good you are at equine massage, if you can’t market and sell your skills you will be an equine massage therapist in training only. Students will learn other skills necessary for starting and maintaining a successful business.
3) Equine Massage Theory: The theory is the
science behind the art of the massage. It is important to know how
muscles work as well as factors that can affect their proper
functioning.
The course approachs the material from a perspective which makes learning equine massage enjoyable as well as easy. It is our task to actively engage the students in the learning experience. It is a fact that people who are actively engaged in the learning process are able to learn more, and find learning more enjoyable.
